37 years old from Maidenhead, Berkshire.
My bike history is fairly short.
GPZ500. YZF600r Thundercat. VFR750fv. CBR1100xx SuperBlackbird and now the R1.

The new bike is a 2004 YZF R1 5PW (I think) in blue. 37k on the clock.

This is my first sports bike. I got it as a straight swap for the bird. I'm still not sure what drove me to do it but I think it's because I didn't want to go through my biking life having never had a litre sports bike. First impressions are very good, performance is as I expected, fast and light but what has surprised me is that it is relatively comfortable.

Tricky Yamaha have a webby where you can enter your vin number & it will tell you when your bike was built & what recalls were do e on it but be fucked if I can find the page again
