Thought I better say Hi.

Im new to this forum, from New Zealand.
Current ride is a 2008 R1, but Ive owned loads of others, cbrs, earlier R1's, a gsxr1000, an Xz, the list goes on . . . had dirt bikes before that too.

ANyway my current ride is a bit of a project, and I thought Id join a UK forum, as I think my bike is a UK model, and the us R1 forum is only so helpful!.

cheers

Welcome to the forum Tim , you and your fellow countrymen are very welcome indeed. We know what you mean by the yank forum, one of our members asked for some help regarding removing an engine bolt only to be immediately banned. A couple of us have asked why only to be met with silence .... Anyway enough about that.

If it's help you want, a good laugh or just to share your thoughts you have come to the right place, this is a very friendly, helpful and supportive forum and above all there are no clicks.

So any questions just ask

Welcome

Stephen :)

Where do you live? I'm thinking about selling both of my bikes and buying a 4c8, but I like the 4xv too much!

yup im in dunedin.
I sold my k4 gsxr 1k, and my 2001 r1 to get the 2008. I dot regret it at all. as much as its a very different bike, there was something very familiar about getting onto the 08 from the 01.

I dont think youd look back. I love my old r1, but this one is worlds better!

what else do you have apart from the trusty 4xv?

The other bike is a ZZR1200, which was bought with 2 up touring in mind. But most of my riding is on back roads near Auckland and it's just too big and heavy.
