We gotta buy the COE paper overtime we buy new vehicles. We too can't figure it out why we can't just transfer over the remaining years left of the paper to the next vehicle.LOCKE wrote:Do you have to pay that every time you change car/bike?

It's how they control the number of private vehicles on the roads. There's tolls as well.

Forgot to add that the price of the COE is separate from the price of the vehicles, which in itself incurs 100% import tax of the vehicle declared import price. That certificate also only allows us to keep our vehicles for 10 years, after which you will have to renew again if you want to continue to ...
