Pro's and con's with getting the ECU flashed?
I just booked my baby in to have the ECU flashed/unleashed. I have the 5vy (2006) and have managed to find a place in the UK that can actually do it. What are your thoughts/experiences, and what are the pros/cons of having this done?

Re: Pro's and con's with getting the ECU flashed?
Please let me know any differences please. I know the increases are limited due to what is run by the 5vy ecu. If its just fueling then that can be done other ways obviously. Anything g else is a bonus. Like I say please report shat is changed ta

I am not sure how to get it Daz, I have asked Hammy if he still has it but he works offshore and he is a hard man to track down.daz031178 wrote:I want your mapPJC wrote:My 4c8 has been flashed and a full race map fitted, its a beast to be fair![]()

Re: Pro's and con's with getting the ECU flashed?
Well that suits me as I'm getting seriously disheartened with the way the bike is now, if I don't get it to do what I want it will be sold next year. I'm not saying for one minute I'm a isle of man tt winner but I can ride a bike to a degree, but I want the bike to do what I want not what the ecu thinks I should have buddyPJC wrote:I am not sure how to get it Daz, I have asked Hammy if he still has it but he works offshore and he is a hard man to track down.daz031178 wrote:I want your mapPJC wrote:My 4c8 has been flashed and a full race map fitted, its a beast to be fair![]()

Nothing to flash on a 4xv [emoji4]. Could rejet the carbs I suppose but it feels just fine to me.

I do tend to agree with you Daz, "its my bike, give me all the power and I will either ride it or die"daz031178 wrote:Well that suits me as I'm getting seriously disheartened with the way the bike is now, if I don't get it to do what I want it will be sold next year. Ask Scrappy what its like and if you still fancy it, I will lend you it to try out.
I mean no dis-respect mate but this is not for everyone

Re: Pro's and con's with getting the ECU flashed?
Don't worry buddy I knew what you meant. I've taken the plunge and sending my ecu to Mike. I just hope he can do something with it so it like yours, like I said I've ridden a flashed 4c8 and it was better but not what I want. Any help you can give me and Mike I'd really appreciate buddy.PJC wrote:I do tend to agree with you Daz, "its my bike, give me all the power and I will either ride it or die"daz031178 wrote:Well that suits me as I'm getting seriously disheartened with the way the bike is now, if I don't get it to do what I want it will be sold next year.
