New member introduction
Hi All
Just an introduction, my name is Steve and I'm originally from Ireland but living in Sussex, I got the opportunity to sell my mint FZR 1000 exup 3GM when a well sorted 5JJ R1 came up, problem is its been sitting for nearly a year and I have an ongoing exup fault.
So far I've changed the exup valve the cables, pulley, ignition switch, 3 x servo motors, 2 x CDI, new 20 pin block connector on LHS of fairing. Fault finding in manual now suggests another CDI or possible wiring fault.
I'm leaning toward the wiring although so far it all checks out ok. Its good catching up on the spanners, I used to be a motorcycle mechanic 20 years ago so fairly capable of repairing although this is testing me!
Hopefully I can get it sorted for 6th December as I have a track day, I don't want to lose the valve as its mainly going to be a road bike, I may build a pukka race bike next year.

Welcome to the firum steve, we won't hold the fact that you live in Sussex against you ..... Good luck with the EXUP valve and keep it rubber side down on the track day. ..... Which track are yiu doing?
This is a great firum, loads of banter and humour, in fact yiu need a good sense of humour on here, peeps are generally friendly , those that are not have either been muzzled or put down.
Peeps are also very knowledgable well apart fro jompy aka monkey face and me we are both as thick as two short planks, and I'm not that tall either..... But others will do their best to answer questions
Anyway, we love pics on here So post a pic, you need to host them in photobucket or something similar and just post the link in your post.
Anyway welcome
Stephen aka Cilla...... Which is the guys sense of humour again..... NOT.

Re: New member introduction
Thanks for the welcome Guys
I have fixed the problem, Loom repair so will put it back together this weekend so its ready for Brands Hatch on the 6th, hopefully the weather will warm up again so I can get the suspension set up.
The bike has had dynojet kit, Titaniun Akrapovic end can, Carbon ram air box, velocity stacks, quick shifter etc, I never got any Dyno sheets with it but it carbs perfectly, next on the shopping list is a slipper clutch once the suspension is sorted. i will take some pics and post.
