Frank
Hi Guys and Gals, new to the forum but thought I'd say a quick "hi' to everyone.
I have to admit right from the off I do own a ZX10R which I now do my coaching work on however I couldn't let my old coaching machine go and kept him as a backup/good time bike.
"Frank" as hes known is a 2006 R1 5VY, some nice touches to him but basically standard, love him to bits.
How many of you all name your bikes?
Bloke.

Welcome In Mike, I was with Luke and Simon you coached him on his GSXR750 at Cadwell this year. Have to say your MRS is a star
loved the story about removing all the Green from the ZX10
Luke, Hash and I are looking at doing Hot Trax endurance racing this year so we will most likely see you in the paddock at some stage. Any assistance receives free food and beer
Enjoy the forum hope it makes you laugh

Welcome in mate. My bike is called 'the bike'. I don't do the whole naming thing, it's just not right!

Re: Frank
Welcome in Mr Edwards we share the same surname but sadly I do not share your skill for riding a motorcycle, however my beloved R1 and R6 are both called Vicky, I guess naming bikes must be an Edwards thing. They are both called vicky so I can't say the wrong name when I'm riding them, otherwise they could get upset and throw me off
Anyway as Jompy says, you have come very highly recommended by our Luke, and that really is praise indeed. We are all mad about bikes and it's good to have another knowledgeable member join the family, and this forum is like a family, there are no clicks like you get on other forums, peeps help and support one and other and we have a right old laugh
So welcome to the best forum in the world, and if your 5vy is called Frank, what's the ZX10R called?
Welcome
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
The Kawasaki is called 'Cato' as in the Japanese manservant to Inspector Clouseau in the Pink Panther movies.
Similarly, 'Cato' constantly surprises me, and keeps me on my toes and sharp witted - frequently when the front wheel is coming up I mutter inside my helmet "not now Cato" - but of course if you haven't seen the films you'll have absolutely no idea what I'm twaffling on about...

Re: Frank
Well Mike or spike, which do you prefer? oh I forgot to mention my youngest son is a Michael Edwards.... Anyway I'm glad I'm not the only one who talks to the bike when I'm riding her mind you she quite often talks to me giving me a little slide saying back of a tad please it's a little slippy here.......
I like Peter sellers so know exactly what you mean about Cato
As PJC says .....
But I'm still learning, and that's what I love about bikes.... pete (PJC) your words are very kind mate
