Not quite a newbie.
Hi. Sorry I haven't been posting for ages. I still have my 5pw and have done a few different things to share. Also looking forward to watching in on the banter. I would post some pics but I can't find photo bucket. Is there another way? Thanks

Re: Not quite a newbie.
Worked it out. Using tapatalk.
Here's a pic of the bike just before Christmas.

Then a week later I was filtering past some traffic, when some guy in an audi decided to jump lanes. I had to give it a handful of front brake and when down like a sack of spuds. He didn't stop either which p*ssed me off! I've now decided not to bother with my pride and joys on the road so want to learn to stunt. Yeah it's abit crazy but going to give it a shot. Here's the bike how it is currently.

Tonight I have received my sprocket from hard anodising.

It's a 60th rear and 14 front. I going to have no choice but to learn I think.
Not finished quite yet but first outing should be next week.
cheers

Thats it tease me why don't you , ya b'stard !Tango wrote:![]()
you have to have more & better pics of it then that , most streetfightered R1's i've seen are wank but i'm liking what you did with that very nice , shame it went pete tongue ! Bet you end up with another on the road

You thought about a stunt frame to protect your bike , you see them a lot in the yank video's when the muppets are pulling the long wheelies on the freeways ! Symnz was looking for one & was having trouble i think you may have to import them from the states or design your own .
Heres one for a speed triple

When i saw your name on the post i thought " bloody hell , not seen Tango in ages " glad your well bud

Thanks mate. Yeah I'm already welding one up at the moment. Solid rear pegs also protect the back too. I'll post a pic when I'm in work tomorrow.
Hi Luke. Yeah cheers. I know how you love my modifying visions
Here's a few more pics jompy.

I also converted to 520 pitch running gear too. I'm sure your all aware of the benifits from your track racing. I managed to find a road racing Website that sell billet sprockets in any size. Here's my process to make it.

Then I sent it off for hard anodising. Once it returned I masked and sprayed the r1 logos.

The sprocket cost £19 posted.

Re: Not quite a newbie.
Haha. It's hard to make the streetfighter front look good. I'm still not sure about my attempt :/ . I choose the standerd ktm exc unit. I'm hoping to get out next weekend but I'm only taking one mate just in case I have a bad off and need help. We have a local airstrip I can use so that's ideal until I have the basic idle wheelie under my belt. It will all be filmed so you have that to look forward to. I'm all depressed at the moment as last weekend I went along with a mate to a rally test day. He was going to take me on a stage until his car blew it's bottom end. Worked out good though as he was lent an R2 class citreon C2. 25k of little C2 is quite impressive. I'm depressed because I want a rally car now but the wife says we can't afford it. Can't believe how much they sell for. 5k just for an old 205. Then there's the mk1 + mk2 escorts. Well it's safe to say I'll never own one of them!

No haven't seen yours. That's the problem. You finally settle for one you like and then can't bloody fond one! [emoji31] I kinda just settle for one because it was holding up the build in the end. Er6n and z1000 have a nice original unit. Hard to tell what it would be like on another bike though.jompy wrote:You seen the headlight on mine ? I'm not 100% sure. It came from eBay. It's not genuine ktm but not sure if the design is different.

Looking Good
I am assuming you go to westonzoyland for the test runs? You will have to let us know when you are up there, will pop over to show support. Wont be riding though as mine is all prepped for the next paint job..
