Hello!!

Post by JBomb »

Morning all,

I've had my 08 4C8 (red and white) for about 6 months now and have never got around to posting anything, so I thought I'd better start!!

Any one here from the Bath / Bristol area?

Thanks for your warm welcomes! What a friendly bunch you are!! ;)

Been riding since childhood, but only recently on the road (call it a bit of a mid life crisis). Last bike was a gixxer 600 which I had for a couple of years but managed to persuade the missus I needed an R1. Loving every minute of it, just wish i could make full use of what the bike can offer.

Thanks mate. I agree with everything you've said - I've been "taking out" for a while now, just waiting to be able to "put something in"

Anyway..... here's my current ride.
708

Pretty standard apart from race baffled cans and some ASV levers.

If anybody knows where I can get a black belly pan let me know.

Any recommendations for tyres too would also be appreciated.

Cheers guys

I love that colour scheme Jase, I had one the same a few years back

Brilliant bike, I loved it to bits.

Re hoops, this is a very personal subject, a number of us on here, me included love Michelin's, others hate them. I used their 2ct's on my 4c8 and they were great for commuting, touring, timeouts and track days, and they wear well also, good in both wet and dry. Infact I've just fitted a pair to my R6 winter hack.... I love them. ... But then that's me.

Ffs don't start that topic off again
as Steve says tyre choice is personal & depends on your riding style & what your using the bike for , have a quick search there's been loads of discussions on tyres ;)

Bike looks great btw
