Good tip that not changing oil till weekend funny one yamaha dealer told me dont use yamalube oil?,said he recommends full synthetic silkolene thought bit odd used silkolene semi synth and motul before but not on bike like r1.

this is what Geoff put in mine and told me to use

if you get any clutch slip fit a new clutch spring "36Y-16334-00-00 SPRING, CLUTCH 2"

get used to getting the front wheel in the air on the R1, great toy and lots of mid range power for all the fun stuff

Good stuff was i was going to use motul semi synth but upon checking some other posts will use silkolene semi or full synth,always used motul 10/40 semi synth on the zrx as good oil and filter deals on it but its just a detuned zzr1100 motor,think the r1 is a bit of a different beast engine wise and worth spending a bit extra on the engne oil.
