Ahh, the Buell.
The 1125 was a "fuel in frame" chassis with a stonking water cooled V-twin engine built by Rotax to Erik Buells design.
Loved revs and had instant torque from just about anywhere. Even at 120mph, open the throte and it would leap forward eager to rip your head off, ( no fairing ).
Did two of my European trips on it in the company of a Ducati 999S, GSXR750, Aprilia RSVR, with no problems other than neck ache
The R1 has some of that visceral "V" feel but still with the four cylinder rush and better brakes, which I always thought were the weak spot on the CR.
