Re: Hello!
Unless you consider the fact that R6's are known for 2nd gears dropping out, and I strongly suspect my R1's gearbox went the first time due to a badly adjusted quickshifter. 2nd time was the mechanics fault who fixed it the first time.Siamblue wrote:Hi and welcome, but there is no way you can destroy that many boxes, definitely operator error.
Not saying I'm a fantastic super duper rider, but I've owned a good few other bikes with no gearbox issues whatsoever.

Re: Hello!
Read your post in the 4c8 section & it sounds like you've had some real bad luck bud , your 4c8 may just have been something as simple as a Friday build or maybe it wasn't looked after by the first owner , damn shame to break it but needs must .
wish you luck with whatever you get next

Re: Hello!
Aye even though it's not in the same league I know that feeling I'd done just over 20k on my 4xv it'd got around 75k on the clock when a small piece of ally got in the oil pump seizing it & the water pump completely writing the engine & the full new oem clutch £220 worth !
It's a good job engines for the 4xv & 5jj don't cost as much as a 4c8
