New to this forum: R1 rider for many years on road and Track
Alright Lads and maybe some lass's
Been riding R1's on the road and track for many years, reason for siging up to this forum was to find out if anyone else were having problems with delivery over the new R1M. I was one of the lucky ones to secure one, but so far it's been a nightmare with changing delivery dates and the so called Yam Race Experience that comes with the purchase of the bike.
Very disappointed with Yamaha so far and considering I buy a new Yam every 2 to 3 years, I'm p/off with them.
When I have time for racing I race with BEMSEE, but race time lately has been a distant memory because of work comitments.
Anyway a big Hi to everyone on here as it's nice to be talking with people who all have the same interest BIKES!!!
haven't sussed out yet how to load pictures, sorry.....
Cheers

Welcome in Phil
looks like there's been delivery problems with a fair few of the new R1s not just the Ms , take a look in the 2015 R1 section

Hiya Phil,
Hope you get the YRE sorted.
Have to say, I have never joined a forum before where so many people race or are ex racers or are just massive track day addicts.
It must be a Yamaha thing as i didn't used to see much of that on the forums i joined under Honda ownership.
I feel right at home now
If ....... I had a Yamaha then that would be even better

Hope you get the YRE sorted.

Alright Lads
I was riding a 2011 R1 up to Nov last year, got shot of it to get ready for the new one, at that time I had no idea I would get my name picked out the hat for the R1M though!
I have to say I've always been a Yam rider, I've tried other bikes but for some reason Yam's suit me.
I'm climbing the walls at the moment with no bike in the garage, it's like having my legs cut off. I've never been without a bike for so long!
Lets just hope I can get this Track day and delivery date problem sorted.
Cheers

Hi Phil, welcome to the forum and I am really pleased that yiu got the R1M, I too change my R1's ever couple of years, but sadly, I was not so lucky, still there is still the standard R1, same power, just not the trick bits, but to be fair, the M is probably better in your hands than mine, you racing and me just pootling around
Anyway, enjoy the forum, be patient, the R1M will be worth the wait and enjoy it when she arrives, oh and let us know how you get on with her
So welcome
Stephen
