Hello.

Post by R6-DAN »

Hi, a quick hello and a bit about myself, just joined the forum as I'm keen on another R6.

My name is Dan I'm from Melksham, Wilts. Up until last year I had a great 5eb. Reluctantly sold it as we moved house and I had no garage to keep it in.

I'm currently waiting on planning permission for an extension to our home which will have a nice big garage to put a new bike in.

Welcome to the forum Dan, and good luck with both finding a nice R6 and the planning permission for your garage.... Garages can never be too big, the bigger they are the more bikes they can accommodate.

This is a great forum , the guys are knowledgable and love nothing more than helping fellow bikers out. They also like pictures so if you have any pics of your previous bikes feel free to post them.

Welcome to the forum

Stephen :)

Thanks for all the replys. I should have an answer on planning by the end of the month.

Hopefully it will go through ok. I already have a builder lined up to do the work. I just need to get all the materials to get it done, I will post some pics of my last r6. It was my first and only bike since passing my test. Spent loads of time and money on it and I was gutted when I sold it. But as I said before, I didn't have anywhere secure to keep it and I would like something newer, had it 7 years.

What do you think of the 5sl? I really like them and have seen lots of nice mods to them.

Well I went out at the weekend and bought myself a lovely R1, wasn't looking for an R1 but there wasn't many R6's about that I liked, just on the off chance I had a look at R1's and found they weren't much more money.

Have got planning permission on the extension, so that will be started in the next few weeks, in the mean time I'm going to keep my bike at work.

I can't seem to put pictures up direct from my phone, if anyone can give me a few tips then I'll post done up of it.

It's an 04 model in black with lots of carbon fibre, Akrapovics and exup delete.

I'm looking to do a few more mods to it over the next few years, I'd like to fit demon eyes to it as I think they are different, anyone done this or recommend anything else I can do?
