The RSV did me well. Got away with 6 points. But that's another story. It was pretty gutless to be honest. But made me focus on my riding to get the most out of it. I rode so much back then. I was Pretty handy. Just doing it so much in any weather. That's what really brought me on. Riding hard, from cold tyres in freezing and wet and oily conditions in the dark. You get good quick. Have to. It really showed. I was riding with some erm highly trained drivers and they really brought me on. Using the gearbox right on that mille was critical. No slipper clutch with all that engine braking really helped me. Even in the wet winters. Throttle control masterclass and blipping downshifts perfection. Learning how to deal with a frequently sliding rear end really brought me on. I would recommend a brief romance with a big twin to every one of you. I was also re reminded about those crash mushroom things i should have got. Again. With the Aprillia. It sounded amazing. I should have kept it. Along side the next one. My beloved 57 registered 2007 red seat R1. I used it every day again for 3 years. Never let me down once. Mind i'd switched back to that v twin...No top end, Supposed meaty bottom and mid range power? The 4C8 pissed on it in everyway. Loved the brakes/chassis feel but it had such exaggerated characteristics - that Italian thing. Like the rear end behaviour obviously. But also sitting up on a closed throttle mid turn. How much muscle it took to work the millie and how I learned a lot about bike set up when tweaking the suspension to suit. Pretty fucking well in the end. It all prepared me well for the Yam'. I was instantly aware what a neutra and well balanced package I'd got. So easy to use. And with a top end that fucking blew me away! What a top end! perfect? I've gotten it better over the years. I'll get specific in time.
During all this, a mate had been going track day daft and started racing. I was pit b1tch through out. So i got better with the set up sh!t again. I've put All this to use with the R1. Standard suspension well set up is often better than Flash suspension set up by a bellend. I have assisted said bellend and have timesheets to prove this. But that's also another story.
The R1 is a keeper. I will obviously finally give in and get the new one eventually. I'll go into detail. No doubt. In the appropriate thread! -At some point soon. But that's me for now. I hope I've eluded enough to a fair bit of riding over a fair wee while. That I've had plenty good access to the latest machinery and have an opinion on most things. I've worked in aviation/mechanical/electrical/heavy engineering and mechanics for many moons. I know my way round a tool box and love my bike racing. I have a CBR600F2 that should/might get put on track Eventualy. I don't commute to work anymore. Ride a whole lot less. I'm getting back into it though and is coming along well. That all may be another story too?
Erm that'll be that then. Intro done. Maybe one last pic.

Jen says A "chickenhawk" is a slang term so therefore no good for scrabble also it was cypress hill not house of pain ( cracking tune btw )
Chickenhawk the book is about a guy that joins the us army to become a Helo pilot & ends up a Huey pilot in vietnam where he meets a fellow pilot that refers to himself as "The Dave"
I was suddenly concerned it was a tyre edge euphemism. Mind i'd only got the thing in those pics! Then i Googled the book to asses the level of possibly genius piss take. As I'd already replied, clearly well hooked by that point. Screen shot fucking away already an everything! Lol. How relieved was i that the book was right there. Ironically described as a clever chronologicaly laid out tale, well described. Articulate. Well worth a read... And with an interesting military aviation twist!? I got a fright you knew me! Fucking lolled my hole of there so i did. Cheers. Too many letters in Anthony. Waste of time saying the whole word eh? Always loved making things faster... Even. My own. Fucking. Name. Looool
So Thetony makes perfect bloody sense! I choose it when i first nipped on the forum years ago. Think i just needed to check something. I started running a 190/55 and wanted to check swing arm clearance. It was on a thread already so i buggered off. And the book actually sounds up my street. It's going on the shelf facing outwards all the same. Evidence of my denied scrabble victory from the previous millennium. Don't think I'm not still claiming that sh!t! I'm in denial about your good lady's miserable news. Denial is a common associated symptom of that Stockholm syndrome. I'd say that Thetony would also probably be a word I'd chance in a scrabble game too if I'm honest. The term started in a multi-Tony situation and stuck. Used in a few online situations in the past. Continuity, not all ego, i promise.

Had to get it all in there. Been lurking ominously long enough! I've seen your bike up at Knockhill before D. I met wee pug and a few of the Scots. Another guy Malkie? Sound dudes. You honestly do look familiar. I help Jimmy Liang nr 7 in Scottish superbikes. This season is fucked. Bm's gearbox said no more after 2 hottrax endurance races. Well 3 i suppose. I'll cover our racing another time a bit better. Great to be involved though. I've been off today and put time into this. It's been good. Out for lunch. Fair few smokes and good coffee all day and the dugs walled and happy. Weather not that great for the K1/k2 combo I'm running. So at least i feel I've done something bike - ish today. I did switch the optimate over between bikes today. So actual contact has been made. Tomorrow it's getting it's baws rattled in a D&G direction all going well. Cheers for the welcomes guys. I'll never keep this level of typing up. But that's a fair heads up about about what i do bikewise. I'm not finished with the tweaking. That's part of why I'm here. Flash long over due. Committing to doing stuff on here will motivate me to actually do it in a timely fashion. That's a factor in coming in. Get doing more on the bike. I got lazy after a job change 3 year ago. Easy as that. I'll do the bulk of this at work at very strange times on odds shifts. But the phone app is so good compared to what i used Ages ago. We live in the fucking future. Man.

Yeah. Enjoying and looking forward to more insight on the 15. I was on the brink of a purchase but had to get another 4 Wheeler in a rush instead. Gutted but something to look forward to. Watch this space but don't be holding yer breath. I'll try and grab one with the exhaust/bulk of the mods i want on it already or once someone has had enough grief from their mrs... watch this space. I can see the work you've put into the strokers. Lovely job. Well done. To be continued.
