Evening all
Evening all
Ladies and gentlemen allow me to introduce myself,
My name is graham though for some reason most people I know call me Graz because there clearly to lazy to pronounce my name correctly! This however doesn't bother me, I'm approximately 47 years old to be honest I lost count somewhere after 30. Ive always had bikes of various makes over the years from ss50 and the legend of my youth the fz1e.. Then as the years moved on the yzf750 , Gsxr,s zxr zx9,s fireblades and then my first R1 the 4xv and now my 4c8. I live in Essex and for a living I'm a fitter and mot tester on cars and light commercials. I didn't use the word mechanic because I don't think there are any real ones these days as most of us throw away the busted bits not repair them like 25 years ago!!
I find work very boring though to pass the time of day I do enjoy failing all the chav type cars you know the lowered loud ones with names like Clio or ST and the likes..
Anyway nice to meet you and I'm now of to the relevant section to moan about a vibration problem on my R1 lol

Re: Evening all
Welcome in Graham
Very good and well written first post although you do loose points for no pictures
As for the vibration , i know your posting somewhere else about this but a couple of guys have had clutch "boss" ( i think was the word used ) failure where the part broke into 3 pieces , think it was just a case of replacing the broken part so will be right up your street
, i'm not saying it is this but might be worth looking into it in the 4c8 section

Hi Graz, welcome.
From personal experience I would say the larger organisations have fitters for quick turn over and maximum profit, whilst the smaller local garages sometimes still have mechanics as many still like to provide a genuine service to their locals/regulars.
Enjoy the forum.

Welcome in mate. To be fair, many jobs have changed over the years. I (barely) remember when toasters were repaired instead of replaced!
