Race fairings would be a good start [emoji6]

For what a 4xv makes currently you could sell it and buy a track bike fully kitted out which will save you several grand [emoji6] and potentially be a better bike

Re: 4xv race bike build
It will be mainly used for track days with the occasional race in the pre injection class so doesn't need to be to high spec the bike only cost me 900 quid with 20000 miles on it mechanically the bike is sound the fairings are a bit rough but she's fairly mint in below I have had it down at oulton park on the track and she never missed a beat.

How did it go at the track? You've probably got some idea what needs doing already.

Unless you're completely set on pre injection racing as Luke said sell it any buy something newer that's already sorted and for less money than doing yours.

Again I just looked in active topics and didn't realise this was in the newbies section, so welcome!
Yeah fair comment, there is definitely satisfaction in doing it yourself. Thing with track bikes is there's always more you can do to make it your own even if you but one with most of the main bits done.
Depends on what kind of spec you want to end up with

My shopping list in this order would be:
Race fairing
Wets on wheels
Rear shock
Full system
Rearsets
Clipons
Radial front brake M/C
Front fork internals & adjusters
Quickshifter
Engine casing protection
Probably there's more but that's a good start

Re: 4xv race bike build
Cheers for the advice probably could go out and buy a bike already with most of the work done to it but it's a bit of a hobby to keep me busy over the winter just changed my gearing to -1 +2 heading to Knockhill on Sunday so Al see how it goes with that.
