Hello all 1000cc newb
Hi all I've recently got back in to riding I haven't rode for 5 yrs and decided to treat my self to a 2014 r1. I previously had a r6 and loved it a house move & baby son forced the sale of it. the bike is standard apart from a set of akropovic cans and asv levers I'm looking to colour code the ram air intakes if anyone knows where I could get these from please let me know, also if anyone's in the Birmingham/Black Country and fancies a ride I could always do with someone to ride with bearing in mind I'm back to being a newb
(If I could figure out out to attach a photo I would
)

Welcome in Again Andy
Bike looks sweet & i take it the handsome little chap is your lad ( takes after his mother obviously
)
If you need any help with the forum just give someone a shout most people are more than willing to help .
Although you've already installed TapaShite and it is bloody good for posting pic's heres the general posting pic's post
"get yourself a free photobucket account & follow the idiots guide to posting pics from your pc
posting.php?mode=reply&f=6&t=10659
if you don't want to open a photobucket account then an alternative is go to
http://tinypic.com/
1 - "choose file" and browse to the image you wish to upload from your PC
2 - In the "resize" drop down choose either 15" or 17" screen (15 is enough and fast too)
3 - Press "upload now" where it will ask you to type in a couple of words to confirm you are a human being and not an automated program.
4 - Once done copy the text from the "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" field
5 - Then just paste it exactly as is in to your message.
or you can post direct from your not so smart phone using tapawank (tapatalk) it's great for posting pic's & notifications but wank for viewing the forum

Re: Hello all 1000cc newb
Welcome to the forum Andy, you have a cracking bike there, your sone really seems to be liking it, my grandson is the same
, good opening post for someone who doesn't use forums and pics eventually too
.
Craig, aka Chappo is right, he is as thick as pig sh!t, but to be fair, he is a decent bloke
Monkey face, aka Jompy is our helpful resident primate and one of the bosses so we have to be nice to him
Colon aka Locke is not an @rse but a really nice chap and he loves his bangers with ackrapovic's, mind you so do I, the sound track is music to my ears, something my new bike just can't match
So welcome to the forum, any questions just ask, oh good luck in sorting getting your air intakes colour coded, could you send them off to dream machine, they painted a seat cowl for me and it was a perfect match.
Join in the banter and have a laugh, welcome
Stephen

Just a quick blast then
A couple of years or so ago the Mrs blagged me a free pair of S20's and galfers at a big discount so I'd fitted them & decided to sub the tyres & bed the brakes in by taking a ride from Derby to surprise visit Jen in Aberystwyth one week day evening , I got in about midnight
