Hi, all

Post by AndyJ »

Morning.
Just thought I'd take time to say hi. I've just chopped in my k4 600 for an 09 R1. I've only put about 100 miles on it but I was instantly blown away by the power on tap! With the akro cans on the back the sound of the engine is more addictive that strawberry flavoured crack.
I've a few cosmetic changes I want to make, including changing the original indicators. I've had a quick search but nothing was coming up. Maybe I wasn't being specific enough, but if any one has any recommendations for some tidier/smaller units that would be appreciated.
Cheers.

Welcome to the forum mate, and enjoy the bike, I have one and they are a fab bike, few things you can improve on them, decat (if not done already), flash the ECU to improve the throttle and smooth it out, fueling for decat.

By far the best front indicators are the Watsens, but not sure if they are making them anymore for the Banger, and the integrated blasterX tail light, have both fitted and had no issues with relays and resistors and tidy up the bike nicely.

Cheers, guys, and it's blue. I've been on the lookout for a cross plane for about three or four months and and one turned up not to far away from me with the akro pipes already on.
Will check those Indicators out, Mike, thanks for the advice.
I'll get some pics up when I've taken some. Is there any trick to posting pics on this forum or straight forward?

Welcome in Andy
Ya sausage lover :P
as for pics as Sam said Tapatalk is the easiest way to post them from your phone
get yourself a free photobucket account & follow the idiots guide to posting pics from your pc
posting.php?mode=reply&f=6&t=10659
if you don't want to open a photobucket account then an alternative is go to
http://tinypic.com/

1 - "choose file" and browse to the image you wish to upload from your PC
2 - In the "resize" drop down choose either 15" or 17" screen (15 is enough and fast too)
3 - Press "upload now" where it will ask you to type in a couple of words to confirm you are a human being and not an automated program.
4 - Once done copy the text from the "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" field
5 - Then just paste it exactly as is in to your message.

or you can post direct from your not so smart phone using tapawank (tapatalk) it's great for posting pic's & notifications but wank for viewing the forum ;)

Welcome to the forum Andy, the cross plane R1's are certainly addictive. Some peeps on here call them sausages because it's a Big Bang engine hence the nick name banger , but that got changed to sausage because a banger is a sausage, anyway they are a bloody fantastic bike. Enjoy[emoji3]

Welcome
