Long time lurker, currently running a red 01 R1 (5JJ) in need of a lot of TLC that I hope will improve my skills and knowledge of bikes and result in a nicely sorted reliable bike for both road and track duties. Looking at an outside temp of -2 this morning and sat here in my daft penguin Christmas jumper means it's now the time to fettle, so expect lots of daft questions some time very soon:)

I love the early R1's , intact given half a chance I think I'd fighter one of each model
How about you start a thread in the projects section and log your progress with lots of pics ? We love a good project
There's loads of info to help you on here if you can find it and there's also loads of knowledge on the yank r1 forum if you get stuck and and put up with the twats
