2017 R1M from Manchester

Post by chrisR1M »

Hello everyone / anyone :lol:

I've just bought a brand new R1M after falling out of love with my KTM RC8R I'm still running it in but what an amazing machine! i had the full akrapovic exhaust fitted before i picked it up and I've got loads of mods in store so i will be trolling the forum section for inspiration / answers. first major one is I've upgraded to the yamaha tail tidy but its not doing it for me, anyone found anything a bit more aesthetically pleasing? preferably carbon fibre :P please shout up. if i could figure out how to post some pics on this i would of done on this post. a true noobie! :roll: :lol:

Hi and welcome Chris, what a good choice of bike!. :)

I've not seen a carbon tail tidy for the M, although the Carbon King makes one which is a copy of the original tail tidy which is pointless really. I have an Evotech silver version fitted on mine.

Have a look in my thread viewtopic.php?f=57&t=13844" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to see what carbon I've fitted on my 2016 M. Another member Chappo has a lot of carbon on his 2016 R1 too viewtopic.php?f=57&t=11847" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Here's how mine looks at the moment.

that looks awesome mate! carbon hugger is definitely on my list of things needed urgently.

As soon as i figure out how to post pics on here i'll get some up.

Chappo went pretty big on bringing his up didn't he, can't believe the size of that list before he even had the bike! :shock: great work!

Welcome in Chris
And enjoy the forum , we love pics so here you go (did this yesterday but f**k knows what happened :lol: )
"get yourself a free photobucket account & follow the idiots guide to posting pics from your pc

if you don't want to open a photobucket account then an alternative is go to
http://tinypic.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

1 - "choose file" and browse to the image you wish to upload from your PC
2 - In the "resize" drop down choose either 15" or 17" screen (15 is enough and fast too)
3 - Press "upload now" where it will ask you to type in a couple of words to confirm you are a human being and not an automated program.
4 - Once done copy the text from the "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" field
5 - Then just paste it exactly as is in to your message.

or you can post direct from your not so smart phone using tapawank (tapatalk) it's great for posting pic's & notifications but wank for viewing the forum ;)"

The lights are pretty cool, but I don't mind the standard light tbh. :)

yea thats way smarter than the yamaha "tail tidy" I upgraded to, tidies the wiring up a treat doesn't it! if i go for the LED strips that replace the indicator stalks ( the links i posted on last thread ) i think ill have to get a custom plate bracket made.

anyone around manchester on here? going for a ride out tomorrow as weather is supposed to be scorching, I've also got a ride out planned on 20th
