hi people my name is Ross I was quite lucky growing up that I had a pretty cool mum and dad well my dad more that from a young age got me riding like any kid that lived on a farm got to play with anything with an engine
started out off-roading until my dad felt i could race. so did motocross for a good few years. then i lost interest and started playing more with cars until 21 so did my big boy test my dad gave me his gpz 600 but since then iv had the 900 aswell gsxr a blade but always wanted a 98 4xv and in 03 i managed to get one fell in love with it still got it now ain't got the heart to sell it just recently sold my red 08 thinkin of going cross plane but not sure yet but i feel a bit of a traitor as i took out my mates dads hp4 and i think its awesome i've joined this forum because I need to pick some peoples brains
i got the old girl out yesterday gave her a bath and gave her a check over and all that got her fired up but got no clutch so i have left her in gear and rocked her backwards and forwards to free up the clutch plates but still nothing you put the clutch in you still go forward I've tried adjusting the cable still nothing the tabs on the clutch all line up it had a new stock clutch back in 2013 it's done bout 2500 miles since then just would like to pick your brains for any info
thanks
new guy

Hi Ross. Welcome along.
Worth a look around the 4XV section if you haven't already but plenty of the guys on here likely to join in shortly.
I love the cross-plane but you should give one a good try
then another try!! first to compare with the others. Different beasts for sure.

Welcome in Ross
Tie a cable tie so that it holds the clutch lever back to the bar and leave it at least over night then while it's no running drop it into gear again and rock it back and forth , if that doesn't work order yourself a clutch case gasket
