Welcome to the forum Ian , the 5vy is a cracking R1 and the underseat exhausts are a work of art.

Tell us a bit about your biking history, what bikes you have had, what you liked, or didn't like, why you chose your R1.... it allows us to get to know you and vice verca ...

This is a friendly forum, we help each other out and the guys on here are very knowledgable about bikes and riding. We have all sorts from racers, track day addicts , road riders, commuters and pootlers .... so where do you like to ride

Oh and finally, what colour is your new pride and joy, post a pic we love pics on here

Welcome to the Yamahar community

Hi All,

Firstly thank you for the kind replies.

Biking history:

first ever bike was a GPZ 600 then moved once id gained some confidence,

ZX705R
ZX9R
Fireblade
YAMAHA R1 (2000 model)
Honda sp1
Gixer 1000 K6
Aprilia RSVR Factory
Ducati 999 (Black airwaves edition)

I then moved over to the off road riding onto KTM's and GasGas all two strokes. Mainly green laning but competed in a few hare and hounds and the odd extreme event such as the tough one, sucker punch and dawn till dusk.

Due to work commitments I have now moved back to road riding

New R1 is a Red one yum yum

Thanks
