New R6

Post by snafu »

Was looking for a sports bike to swop for my tourer and along comes a guy with a 5SL. Almost seems to good to be true but the bike seems legit so it's mine now.
2003, Silver, 15,000 miles, power commander, sprint damper, Yamaha racing screen.

Goes well. Now it has air in the tyres and suspension settings standard.

Just swopped the brake hoses for braided lines. Cleaned the calipers and pads. I think it's still got the original pads in there. Sumitomo pads, I would guess they are sa,me ones as bikes only done 14k. Might have to get new pads as I didn't think they had enough bite.

R6 didn't last long, I swopped it for an R1. Shame as the R 1 is a bit of a dog, not charging, tank marked, plugs, valves , coils all need doing, radiator is falling apart, but for the tiny bit of riding I've done on it it's got a good engine.
