Hi I'm the newbie with lots of questions.....

Post by RyanR6 »

Hello
I've got a 2002 R6 5eb carb model, lots of mods.
Thought I'd come on here to ask people in the know,
basically on my way back from moto gp my bike suddenly had loss of power and rattle from engine, got AA recovered all the way back to Norwich,
Done a compression test and no compression in cylinders 1 and 2. Cracked liners.
Just wanted to find out if anyone has a step by step guide on fitting a 5sl bottom end to the 5eb head and mounting it in the 5eb frame?

Many Thanks

Ryan

Welcome to the forum Ryan, the guys on here are very knowledgable about bikes so someone will be able to help. I wish I had taken my bike to MotoGP ... it took me two hours to get out of the car park! Still the racing was worth it, it was a fantastic day [emoji3]

Good luck with getting your bike sorted, post up some pics of her

Thanks, Yeah it's not a bad one. Done a few mods to it. Dyno jet stage 2 jets, k and n filter, cut down blue flame exhaust, ignition advancer, shorter velocity stacks, piper cams, thinner head gasket, 520 renthal chain and sprockets conversion. Goes well for a 6......Well did go well haha

Everyone knows the blue is faster haha. Managed to source another bottom end. So the R6 is on the mend. Where's best place to get a headgasket from as can't find an exact match anywhere?
