Re: Newbie
Hey guys soo I have been riding since I was like 12yeas old on dirt bikes and then since 17 got on the road bikes. Had my r6!for about two years and now have a 2007 r1. It has a custom paint job black and red tail tidy, screen, race cans shorty levers and loads of other little bits and bobs. I always got told by a few people not to get on the r1 as it’s too fast for the road but I sat on the bike and can ride it fine just like my r6 but a hell of a lot more power and smoothness. So absolutely loving it
I haven’t changed the stock damper l do you guys think that would be ok to leave on? I never rode with one on my r6.
Ps I’m no plastic plumber hardcore copper all the way lol
I will post some pictures when I figure out how to do it

Re: Newbie
The R1 will only go as fast as your right hand dictates..... when I got my 4c8 a guy took delivery of a blue one on the same day as me, mine was red n white.... he had PC III fitted, titanium ackrapovic’s and de-cat...... the following week I took my bike in for her 600 mike service and there was the blue R1..... the guy had returned it because it was too fast.... he couldn’t ride with the throttle pinned .... no sh!t shurlock ...... it’s an R1 FFS .... so he lost a lot of money because he just had to ride everywhere with the throttle pined ... I helped to minimise his loss by buying the Accra’s PC and link pipe from him [emoji3].... I was well chuffed with that bike and as I say the R1 will only go as fast as you want it to ....... Posting pics is easy , I use postimage.org . You don't need to sign up to post image but I did as it's handy .
Upload your pic , copy the direct link , paste the direct link in your post and then highlight the link as if your going to copy it but click on the Img tab or the pic of the tree that's next to the URL link tab above where your writing your message and it'll put the
[IMG]'s at either end for you . It's the same when you want to link a web page using the [URL] tab or link button
