Ok here goes try not to fall asleep. Originally from North Yorkshire. Started out on AP50 which i put into the side of a car (paid for my first car that did) On turning 17 would have liked the New 250 LC but at time couldn't afford that so got a new X7, grest fun was had on that til the got changed the learner laws and 250s were worth nowt. Traded for a Bonneville. Next stop GS750complete with full fairing rearsets and ace bars never really gelled with that one found it too mundane. So off wth that one and onto a Z1R. Had that a few years and took it to London when I moved down there. The itch re appeared and I traded it for a Benelli 900 sei. Great fun machine and so small but it had a habit of dumping it's oil out the breather in large doses, so outed that and moved onto a CB900F. Fast comfy and realatively reliable but still a honda. Sold that to buy a 61 Bedford Ca camper (Must have been under the weather) Anyhow got married and bought a house so bikes had to take a back seat. Made do with a GT185 (Free) then a Z250 (50 notes and not worth that) then a CJ250 (Hateful machine). As time moved on and mortguage rate fell from 16% to about 8% found I could once again afford a decent bike. Got a GSX750ESD which allowed us to trog around europe for ma couple of trips. My head was turned again a couple of years later by a VF1000F. Nice bike and what an engine apart from the choccy cams. Got the chance of a cheap GPZ 600R so swapped it out. The first bike I rode where you sit in rather than on it, nice and nippy too. At this point I suddenly got the urge to go racing. Picked up a 350 powervalve in a million parts and went off racing, great crack and would recommend to anyone. After 2 eventful seasons cost rocketted so the career was ended. Put the valve back on the road and flogged it on for £500. Moved onto to a ZXR600C2 (another cracking machine. Had it for about 18 months but then we moved house so needed extra funding so the bike had to go. Me mate sold me his old GPZ1100 so we kept mobile. Got it sprayed up green and white and felt the dogs bollox. Next stop was a FZR1000 genesis. A revelation in power handling loved that one. Then I got the chance of a pristene 4xv R1 in red white and black and I was hooked. Kept that for 5 years. took that one to Denmark and Germany it turned out to be a great tourer. Did a few track days on it too. Moved it on as was getting too silly, stupid speeds wet and dry always looking for smooth tarmac. Moved onto a Triumph Tiger 955i. Bit of a culture change but was back to back roads and interesting rides. Had this for a while then when it started to play up traded it for a BM GS12 (Yes I know I hate them, so ugly, so common but wow what a machine) That has taken us far and wide (Europe and the Nordkapp) in total comfort so that one is a keeper. In the mean time we have added a few more to the garage but I'll keep that for another day apart from the latest purchase you see above.
Well if you made it to the end of this congratulations as I nearly fell asleep, hopefully see some of you around in the spring/summer
Catch you later
