Re: Newbie
Thanks for the welcome. I have to learn how to upload pics to the forum. As soon as I do I will do so. I am from Dublin. I have an R1 5jj model. I have her a long time 16 years or so. I also have an old shape fazer 600 and an rd 350 ypvs 31k. The 350ypvs is a non runner. I need to buy a few more parts for it before I can start rebuilding it. I decided to give the r1 a bit of over due TLC.I replaced float seats and needles in the carbs. I replaced wheel bearings. Swingarm bearings and swingarm linkage bearings. I also bought new fork stanchions, bushes and seals. I have them all fitted. But the front fork legs are giving me a bit of an unusual problem. I know this is not the section for asking people about problems. I am just trying to put up a bit of info on my bikes. My name is Brian. I live in Dublin, not far from the skerries Road racing track. Thanks again for the welcome

Re: Newbie
Welcome to the forum mate. You have found the right place for all things R1 related. You can post photos easily if you use tapatalk .... though I’m having a bit of trouble with it at the mo... as it keeps making multiple posts.... not a clue why..... Clarky thinks my iPhone has gone nuts
Anyway welcome to the mad house

Welcome in Brian.
I'm a tappatalk piccy poster too as it still seems the easiest way, althoug rubbish for finding your way around the forum. I search & write here then whip on to the tappatalk app and stick piccies in!!
Best of luck with the TLC and enjoy the forum.

Re: Newbie
Thanks lads. Yes the 5jj I have is blue, it has always been my favourite colour in that model also. Over here in Ireland the 4xv in red and white with orignal paint has become very sought after, and the price of them reflects this as I have seen clean ones sell for more money than 5jj and 5pw. I have spoken about to mates of mine who are members of the VJMC (vintage Japanese motorcycle club) and they reckon that they are definitely future classics. I will have a look at tappatalk and try navigate my way around it which should be fun. As I am not the most proficient person for navigating around forums. Thanks again for the welcomes. The site looks great. I look forward to useing it in the future

Re: Newbie
Hi all. I know that these are not great photos. But they are the only ones that I have in the phone at the moment. The bike has no front end, fuel tank or bodywork on it at the moment. I should have it all back together very soon. Will post better pics then
