This is me
This is me
Hi I have just joined this forum having traded in my R6 (5EB) on Saturday for an R1 (5PW7). I am an oldie, 62, and have been riding bikes off and on since I was 16. Firstly on Yam 2 stroke twins, I bet that nobody on this site remembers the YR5 drum brakes and all, from then I went over to the dark side and bought a Kawasaki Z1R but Yams still had a pull so after an XJ650 and a couple of other Kawasakis I ended up with an FZR100 (pre EXUP) which I had for years. On getting divorced last year I bought an R6 to get back in to things and now have the R1. I live in Barnsley and was a member of the http://www.r6ers.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; forum with the user name of tonyyamahar6.

Re: This is me
Welcome in John . . . . . . . .If your name's John then why the forum name tonyyamahar6 ?
Re: This is me
My full name is John Anthony Henry but my dad has exactly the same name so I have always been known as Anthony by my parents but Tony by everybody else. Not that uncommon around here as where I work there is an Anthony Paul who is known as Paul and a John Paul who is also known as Paul, I guess it must be a South Yorkshire thing. I prefer to be called Tony.
By the way thanks for the welcome.

Thanks for all the responses guys but unfortunately some thieving b*stard had it away with the R1 overnight, due to have an alarm/immobiliser fitted on Friday should have been last Thursday but they cancelled that saying that they hadn't received the alarm yet.
