Post by fewksie »

Hi all, Im Mike :D
I recently had my bike stolen it was a gixxer 750, it was awesome but after it was stolen i thought i may aswell go for the daddy bike.
Ive been trying to do some research and found the model i want is 07-08 i love the styling on it (am i right in thats the 4c8?), anyone got any tips on what to look out for, or even better, anyone selling one? :-P

Any help is appreciated, look forward to rideouts when its sunny again :)

Welcome in, sorry to hear about your Gixxer.

Yep the 07/08 is a 4C8, great bike if you like a more race focused road bike, me I love it. Get as higher spec. bike as possible as aftermarket parts are expensive and difficult to find 2nd hand. If you ride hard and I mean hard, look for a bike with uprated suspension.

Defo get a bike with pipes, decat and either PC3/5 or Flashtune. Don't worry about milege, mine has 26k ans runs sweet as a nut, and yes it gets proper abuse

Lots on here will help with all your questions.

Enjoy the hunt and the forum

There is someone selling a very nice spec 5 vy on here at the mo but its probably best to get the 4c8 first and then work up :-)

Welcome in mate. My mates got a K7 GSXR 750 which I get a shot of from time to time, well balanced bike. As for R1s if you want the daddy get a 14B and hold on tight!
