rear footrest removal

Post by danny-boy »

I want to remove my rear footrest but does anyone know of any original or aftermarket parts that cover the holes in the frame and also hold the reservoir bottle on a 2013 R1, if so where can I get them :)

Re the holes, I just put some black insulation tape over them. Re removing the pegs you have to take the back end off the bike.

Re the holder for the reservoir I used the cross link thingy that holds both the foot pegs together, bolted it into the place of one of the pegs, needed a one inch spacer though and then got a small 90 degree bracket to hold the reservoir to it.

Good luck

+1 covered again and again.

Taping up the holes, really bad advise if you believe the manufacturer of your bike that is :snooty:
