Nice choice mate. I'm on my third Big Bang R1' two 14bs and a 14be like yours, the traction control inspires confidence, throttle as peeps have said is snatchy but a power commander and custom map will sort that. The best thing about the bike has got to be acceleration, sound.....handling, she goes exactly where you point her. She can be a pig around town, but get her on the open roads and she more than makes up for it. Also I would suggest that you get some sticky rubber, the OE tyres on mine were sh!te. Every morning going onto the m6 I keep her in first then bang bang bang through the box, she sounds just like Rossi's bike.

Not had my 2009 big bang long but what a machine bit daunting for a first 1000cc but fun not really got to grips as yet but mine did have CCT done under warranty you may not have that problem with yours.
At low speed roundabouts etc its a right dog but I've yet to get a re flash. As for track days off to Monteblanco in February with focused events, I won't have it reflashed by then either but will let you know how it goes.

Yes, November they got Yam dealership status which is good news. i've done business with Saltire in the past and they are good guys.

Yeah I have dealt with them before when I had the GSXR. Saltire will now be my local dealer as the Glasgow one is no longer.

Just noticed this post, an observation from Liam's film clip, you tend to steer into the corner rather than countersteer, am I seeing this right on the film clip ? Anything over walking pace you need countersteer, steering into the corner is going to push it and cause vibes and loss of traction, only an observation of that short clip, can't believe the BM's that sh!te in a corner.

Your gonna enjoy that mate, nice one.
Had, blinged and busted two of them already.
Play nice with it to start with, usually takes a wee bit of rider adjustment to get in tune with it.

I was taking it easy through that bend, I knew there was a faster rider behind me and I purposely held off the throttle and stayed wide on the exit to let him pass.
The tyres I had fitted in that clip were brand new and I was just finished scrubbing them in, that was going to be my first lap at pace but as it turned out it was also my last, I went back out for another 30mins or so but my confidence in the bike was shot. I packed up and went home.
