Hello everybody!

I'm Hans from Denmark! And I just turned 39 in December..

I started riding minimoto's back in '06 when I got one for my birthday and got onto the racing scene the same year. After 6 years of minimoto racing and a couple of championships and a lot of fun, I moved on to pitbike racing in 2012 due to the low numbers of participants in the monimoto classes.
It wasn't much better with the pitbike scene, so last year I got myself a R6 '08 for the track, and started racing "normal" sized bikes.

I got to know the bike quite well this first season. I had my debut at Slovakia Ring which was a fantastic track. 6.km long, lots of run off area and top pro. marshals!

After that I raced three different tracks in Sweden. So all in all I did maybe 10 days on the track (not too much, but trackdays etc. it's pretty expensive over here). I had two goals for the season. 1: Get to know the bike, and 2: Don't crash it!

A lot of the other new guys crashed a lot, pushing too hard on their first year, wanting to impress everybody. Broken bones and expensive rebuilts.. For me, it was more important to make good steady progress and at the same time avoiding crashing the bike. I didn't crash once so goals for 2013 is achieved!

Regarding the tracks.. Sadly we only have about 2-3 racetracks in Denmark that is somehow suitable for bike racing but they just keep on closing down... Damn neighbors keep complaining about the noise... F**xx% W@nkers! So.. instead we go to Sweden to race on their tracks, and annoy their neighbors.

Regarding my bike - I've already done a lot of upgrades on the bike since I bought it.
K-Tech DDS35 damper, K-Tech FCV kit + springs, Cordona QS system, Gilles rear-set, Renthal clipons, 520 chain kit, C.A.B.S Auto blipper, blinged out the wheels with WheelSkinzz not long ago, and even mounted custom levers with my on name and race number on them

This winter I will add some more..
YEC funnels, YEC v-stacks, Smog-off plates, Acrapovic Evo full system, BMC air filter, FlashTuned ECU, Bazzaz TC (or maybe PC5 + Sec.FI module), get it dyno tuned, and maybe also ad a fresh set of race fairings from BikePlast.. We'll see.

It all has to be ready before we go to Slovakia Ring again in April, for a 4 day pre-season training camp

Beautiful bike and welcome to the site Hans . Glad you achieved your goals in 2013, it's too easy to push too hard and come off. A Rossi himself says the difficult bit is not crashing. You are right to learn the bike and hone your skills and I bet you will be faster than your fellow racers who crashed this year.

We have a few issues with UK tracks and noise as well, its rubbish to say the least.

I work with a lot of Danes at Maersk drilling and I was surprised by the lack of tracks in Denmark when there are so many people into bikes

Thanx a lot everyone great to feel so welcome here even though I ride a bike with almost half the engine size

Even in Sweden they have problems with noise. On our "home track" 1,5 hour drive from Copenhagen the max. noise level is only 95dB measures when passing... A stock road legal bike says 98dB on the frame, so you can imagine there's a lot of problems. Even when people use dB-killer inserts they are around 100dB. You'll have to mount a stock exhaust system to be right on the limit (95-98dB) Also lot of the noise is from the intake/airbox when using unrestricted filters so it's very difficult.

So.. I'll have to have two Flashed ECU ready. One for my stock setup stock exhaust, stock filter, and then on for open exhaust, BMC filter when on tracks with higher or no noise restrictions at all.

Of course in Slovakia there were no such boring things as max noise levels
Maybe the houses are cheap there, I've heard the woman are... haha

Yea I got the cables but I haven't yet started fiddling around with it.. I guess I could just flash my ECU every time if thats quicker, but a friend of mine gave me two stock ECUs (as their team ran the YEC ones on both their bikes) so I have one '08 ECU and one '09. Nice to have something to "practice" on before I flash my own. Wouldn't want to fook it up and maybe end up without riding

I wrote FlashTune a couple of times asking some questions but they didn't answer once.. I guess maybe their customer service aren't that organized yet. Just wanted to know if Bazzaz FI maps also will be compatible with the software, or if it's only DynoJets that will work.. I guess I'll have some more questions once I begin to play around with it..

I don't know yet maybe I'll keep em, or sell em, or maybe you can get one each Time will tell I guess

Are R6 ECU`s the same as the R1 ones then?
