Bought an 09 plate 2008 model r1.
blue, gold wheels.
pretty standard at the moment. Just a tail tidy.
and a stupid datatool alarm! thats doing my head in already.

Think datatool alarms have come up a few times so check out the bike section for answers , a dealers that the Mrs used to work at binned any alarms on trade ins over 5 years old .

I had a hornet 600 when i was 17 till 20.
Then an 04 zx6r for a year.
Then i bought an 06 zx6r. still have this one. got it in bits. new exhaust, power commander and other stuff.
Then ive just got this new r1 too. Well im sharing it with my dad.

Welcome in Dan , great choice of bike. If you are into modding then I trust you have plenty of spare cash as bits for our 4C8's aint cheap and are pretty hard to come by, there are a few on here who have spent a fair few quid and still counting

Not going to be buying much for the r1.
probably just a double bubble, maybe some cans. they are expensive though i know. My mate has an 05 model and modified the standard exhausts with a kit he bought for £100. it sounds really good too. so might see if i can find something similar.
My dad will be riding this as well though.

Welcome Dan, you have some good roads out your way, I often end up on the moors. I'm guessing you do the races at Olivers Mount as well.

And the mount is good then its a nice day. If its raining its a bit of a mud bath haha.
