Newbie to the Forum

Post by juliohant »

Hi,

I'm from Norfolk, UK and have owned my R1 5JJ for probably 10 years now, although its not see daylight for the last 3-4 years due to house / children / family commitments. That's going to change this year though! Fairly standard apart from dyno jet, K & N and full race system.

Regards

Julian

Welcome in Julian
You'd best get the 5jj washed & a few pic's up for us all then lol
So you been running the bike up every so often or was it left standing ? if left standing your going to want to dump that fuel & run some fuel treatment through it & probably an oil change too !
Hmmm 3-4 years you say , your going to get a shock when you get back on it ;)

Cheer for the advice guys!

The bike has been sitting on front and rear paddock stands, although I'm yet to have a close inspection on the condition of the tyres. It's been on a trickle charger and run up for 15-20mins every few months, with fresh fuel added when needed as I only put a little in the tank.

I've got service stuff, front caliper seals and fluid do when I have a free afternoon.

I'll post a few pics once it's seen some daylight.

I think it'll be an experience to get back on it again :D Can't wait!
