Think he was being sarcastic mate.

Quick question as to the cable tie method. I've looked into suspension set up over the winter and have set up my mates Ninja, GSXR 600 & KTM RC8 and they all love the new set up. If you use the cable tie method, how much travel should you want?

I use the cable tie to let me know how much is left on the travel, usually there is about 25mm when riding on the road. For my track bike there is only about 10mm. When I bottom out on my track bike suspension then its time to up the spring rating. At the minute my track bike front suspension is standard and it works fine. As for the road bike I have done nothing to the suspension; if you have any tips id try and let you know what I think.

so a road bike you'd recommend 25mm possibly 20mm? That's exactly what I wanted to know, will try this next time I'm out. ;)
