Hi from SE London

Post by robbyb321 »

Hi,

I haven't been on this site for at least 3 years. I have just purchased a brand new 2014 R1, race blu. Picking it up on Saturday and can't wait to reconnected with old/new members.

Hope all is well, and currently feeling like a child waiting for christmas :D :D :D :D :D :D

Rob

Wow, thanks for the responses.

The shop advised me against cans until she has her first service. I will get akra's but not the full system, just with the Y pipe.

Oh that sucks that the bike got stolen. I am getting an alarm + Tracker + Cover + Chains and when not used left in a secure car park. Is there anything else that could help with security, or anything not worth getting on that list?

That bike does look amazing. I am 6.6 tall so will look like a monkey riding a small bike but I don't care, as I will still be riding an R1. I haven't done any track days before TBH but glad it was a cracking day.

I have had an R1 before but bought it for 5500 and ended up spending 8000 on mods etc, so not going to do the same this time round (try not to). I was only 21 and had a nearly brand new R1, so use to ride before thinking.

My bike history.

Age 17 - Aprilia RS 125
Age 18 - GSXR 600
Age 21 - R1 - 58 plate - picture at bottom (only had it for 7 months)
Age 25 - R1 - 14 plate. (Lost all my no claims bonus by 1 month, so back to a teenager price insurance)

Hopefully will meet some great people as I did on the last forum.

Yeah the pink top Robbie. Sorry not the Robbie with the bullet avatar. The reason I spent so much was I kept changing mods. I went through 2 different akra systems, powee commander upgrades etc plus swapped out a few other bits when I binned it on the motorway. :violin:
