Hi everyone I'm looking to get my 2000 r1 5jj resprayed in original blue colour does anyone know of any spray painters in north east england Tyne and Wear area cheers

Sorry i don't know of any bike painters in your area , but seriously you've been a member of the forum for 9 months so you should know the score on here & you finally make a newbie post & your straight into asking for help lol
hope you find a sprayer , maybe you should put up a bit more about yourself & even a pic of your bike , join in mate it's quite a good forum once your involved ;)

Lol I know, here goes I'm Paul from newcastle I'm 39 been riding for about 8yrs now mostly owned 600s had a few zx6rs decided to take the leap to 1000s so I bought a 2000 r1 in sept 13 got a few marks on it so I want to try and get the bodywork sorted I,ll post some pics of it soon

How you finding the litre bike compaired to the 600's ? i love my 4xv it feels well planted , is smooth but then balistic when you want it .

welcome Paul, you will find lots of car repair garages will take on the job . you dont need a specific bike sprayer to get them done to original colours. once painted you can get the graphics applied there also if you supply

hi paul ,you should try merlin coachworks pity me durham, they build those sidecars you see bolted to busa,s n such like, do a lot of repairs as well too bodywork :clap: :clap:

Its a brilliant bike much better than i thought it would be, the power just hits u when u open it up, handles canny as well

hi Paul, where in the toon are ya where do you play, not Hartside I guess as its gravel hell this year.

I have asked my m8's for a sprayers name and will get back to you if they recommend one. When mine is fixed, if you fancy a good fast blast in the borders let me know

Aye mate we'll see whats happening , yes steve Hislops home , wendy & steve were best mates , Her dad sponsored & supplied Steve with some of his early bikes & Wendy runs the hissy run every year
