Morning
Morning
Just bought a 2010 Big Bang on eBay.
First bike I've purchased in this manner. Spoken to seller on phone and he seems really nice.
Fingers crossed the bike is all above board and as described.
Noddy questions (a bit like - best tail tidy?) sure to follow.

Re: Morning
Welcome in mark, loads of bangers on here, Big Bang, bangers, sausage.... That sort of sums up our sense of humour. This is a great forum and we all love everything Yamaha. The only noddy question is a question that's not asked, so fire away, someone will answer it, it may not the the right answer but you will get an answer.
The Big Bang R1 is awesome, I'm on my third and love em to bits.
So welcome and post some pics

Welcome in Mark
Bud give us a bit a bout your biking history and pop some pic's up , from reading what the sausage boys have been saying some of the best mods are de-cat , can's & then a flash tune .
Hope you enjoy the forum

Re: Morning
Thanks for the welcome.
I've done the rounds bike forum-wise so my username might be familiar to some. Biking history is long and distinguished (!). Should collect the bike next Friday.
Planned mods are tail tidy, decat and cans and an HM shifter. I'll look into a re-flash v PCV too.

Hello Mark and welcome to the big bangers club, great toy and im sure you will soon find out just how great..
Re: Morning
tail tidy and cans are a given ... also add a decat pipe to the list.. (unless your going full system).. it removes a lot of heatMOzR1 wrote: Planned mods are tail tidy, decat and cans and an HM shifter. I'll look into a re-flash v PCV too.
hm quickshifter...
its worth going for the pc type with a flash tune imo... variable kill time by gear and rpm with a strain gauge sensor ... only the hm gp shift will be smoother imo
i run a hm pc quick shifter with flash tune on my r1
and a Annitori Quick shifter (by HM) a gsxr
(Annitori gen1 shifter to similar to the new lite ... i'll be fitting a lite to a mates zx10r before the 1st september.. he had the lite delivered last week... i'm truly amazed at what they have squashed into sensor..no external controller)
