The fitted engine is fine. I've only done a 5 mile test ride then a track day at Mallory but it pulls hard enough to shake the front end and loosen up the rear. It has 40k miles on it though so I suspect it burns a bit f oil but not done enough miles to know. Cases are all clean and no scrapes so probably ok. I rebuilt one as a project a few years ago and it was a waste of time as the engine was perfect when I opened it up.
I am upgrading to a 4XV engine that's been rebuilt, blue printed, polished, raised compression and strengthened 2nd and 6th gears. Once the engine is run in I will fit new jets and get it dyno'd. It was dyno'd last year and certified 152 at the crank and 125 at the back wheel. My target is 150 at the back wheel.
I love the look of the older bikes but want the performance or the newer ones. When I done Mallory in July we stayed overnight for a few beers and I just kept looking at it and smiling even though I was slower than when I done the same track on a new R6 2 years ago. You know you got the right bike for you when that happens.
125 at the wheel is a tad low for standard let alone with work done?

It hasnt had any work done.
I've obviously read this incorrectly?
Blue printed, polished, raised compression......

Yes mate. You have read it incorrectly. You are mistaking the current engine for the new one.
