Hi guys I prob wont be on here too long but here goes, I had a bad bike accident 6 months ago on my Hayabusa and am only just well enough to get about, as well as the busa I have a ZZR1200 a 98 R1 with loads of trick bits and a 98 R1 track bike with only 6,000 miles on it (not been tracked yet) I need some advise as to the best way to go with selling the R1's, my immediate thoughts are to break the track bike, sell the motor and speedo cluster for good money and use the stock parts (forks, brakes, swingarm, wheels etc) to put the road R1 close to stock. I need someone to value the trick bits I will need to sell so i can see if this is viable
Ohlins front forks
Ohlins remote rear shock (brand new)
Ohlins 916 damper and fitting kit
Harris Triple clamps
Marchesini wheels
AP front Brakes
AP rear brake
AP master cylinder
Harris Swingarm
Akrapovic exhaust
Gilles rearsets
ProMach Triple clamps
De Preto Moto billet mirrors
Race style filler cap
I would still be left with some stock parts to sell
98 frame but fitted with CBR600 self supporting seat
wiring loom, clip ons , track fairing etc
Im not going to be well enough to ride for a while so they have to go, can someone value these parts for me. I would sell the bikes complete at the right money as well, pics are no problem.
Sorry to storm in with a post like this but 6 months with not working has hurt the pocket somewhat. the accident was classed as fatal till I came out of the coma.
On a lighter note some R1 wheeliness !!!

Welcome in Jonny glad to here your on the road to recovery, as for the parts you could search the bay and such like for comparative prices not sure anyone's going to be arsed to do it for ya

I think In general if you can strip off the trick bits and still sell complete bikes that would be the best way. Quite a few 4xv riders on here might snap up at the right money

Welcome I Johnny, glad your on the mend ! As Luke says unless someone wants the track bike as is and is willing pay your price I'd thing putting back to stock is the way to go, best bet is ebay, if I get a chance to sniff around tonight I will fella and add the pricing for you, once pricing added you would be best creating an advert for each item with pictures (read about using photobucket in rules section) and putting full description and new / wanted price.
All the best and hope u make a full recovery soon !
Mike

I have had it running, it had stale fuel in it from sitting in the guys living room for 2 years, I need to go get the fairings buy a screen and fit them, its got brand new Ohlins remote shock, ProMach triple clamps, New gilles rear sets and brand new chain never been run. Was hoping for 2.5K Its done 6000 miles and can be put back on the road.
