Hello
Hello
Hello,
I am new to the forum and never been involved with any forums in the past, but I thought I would get myself involved.
I currently own a R1 4C8 that I bought last year and absolutely love it, but that hasn't stopped me from buying bits and bobs to improve it.
I have put a few mods on it from rearsets, brake lines, carbon fibre and the usual exhaust upgrade with de-cat link pipe with MWR high efficiency air filter. The ECU is currently with Mike at velox racing for a Flash tune and QS which I am looking forward to feeling the difference it will make and I have also geared it with 16-46 sprockets as I had been advised and read this can make I big difference.
Please feel free to chat with any advice
The quicker the sunshine comes the better it's been a long winter.
Thanks
Chris

Re: Hello
Hi Chris, welcome to the forum and you have chosen by far the best forum to start off with, don't bother with any others as they Paul into insignificance. Mike at Velox owns this forum and it's through his generosity, and that if the donators that we have our biking community, and that's exactly what this forum is, any questions just ask, if you need help, someone will help, there are no cliques on here, we are all equal.
You will notice a big improvement when you get your flashed ECU back from Mike, regarding modding a 4c8, Damion aka damo666 (yes he really did have a squeaky trike as a kid
) and Pete aka PJC are the people to talk to
Post up some pics of your 4c8 and any other bikes you have had, we love pics of bikes on here, join in the banter, have a laugh and ask any questions you may have.
Welcome
Stephen

Welcome in Chris
And welcome to the world of forums , join in & enjoy . Don't take anything too seriously things that are typed quite often don't show the context they were written in and can easily be taken the wrong way , people have bad days just take it as that & with a pinch of salt .
This is the best forum I've ever been on we don't always see eye to eye but this bunch of twats is one of the most generous & helpful I've ever known and I think the world of them , I hope you get to know them , respect and appreciate them as much as I do !

Re: Hello
Thanks for your reply's and tips/ advice I will post up some pics once I figure out how to do it haha.
I have owned a few different manufacturers bikes but have to say the 4C8 is probably the best I've had.

Welcome Chris
Before I go any further I'll tell everyone now, I know Chris and have done for a number of years probably about 10-12 years or summit, so he will now probably bare the brunt of my piss taking more than most.
I shall begin with Chris, please tell the members of YamahaR your story involving Thailand, a lady boy and a razor blade.

Re: Hello
Ok so back to Chris's bike it's an immaculate 4C8 which he has put quite a few quid and abit of effort into lately.
It'll be 50 times better when I do the forks though
Here's a few pics of his bike just while Chris gets used to the forum

Re: Hello
Haha I was on holiday in 2006 and taking in the local delights and sights we ended up in a bar and there was ladyboys in as well as genuine specimens. I was propositioned by a ladyboy but I refused and said she/he was a ladyboy to which it wasn't too happy after all a lot of money was spent trying to look like a lady. I was saying it was still a man and later in the night long after I left the bar she/ he came up behind me and slashed my calf wide open with a razor blade.

Re: Hello
Hi Chris,
Welcome in mate, there is loads of 4c8 info on here, mostly in our heads so ask if needed. I would be careful running that gearing on a fully flashed ECU, the difference is unbelievable
Enjoy the bike and this little bit of devilment

Re: Hello
Thanks PJC I have just changed the sprockets 2 days ago I feel nervous now haha. I know it needed more accessible power low down maybe the flash would have sorted that but Kyle and a few other things I had read up on said it was another good thing to transform the bottom end so thought I would try it. I guess if it's too much and I am hanging off it like a flag on a pole I will go back to standard.

Welcome in mate. Poor taste in friends though.
Bike looks mint in that colour scheme.
