I don't know part numbers, but I bought one for an '85 Accord and it's been fine.pompousporcupine wrote:Holy Thread Revival!
Anybody got the year/part number for the early Accord switch? I saw temps of 109 over the weekend and the fan never kicked in.
might be also worth replacing your rad cap and putting new coolant inpompousporcupine wrote: Wed Apr 24, 2019 10:24 am Thank you! Will give that a go and see if the fan kicks in.
On most bikes i wire in a manual override switch but i'd like to avoid that if i can
Have you checked that the fan is working?pompousporcupine wrote:Thank you! Will give that a go and see if the fan kicks in.

I might get one tbh they mine does get hot - never overflows or refuses to cool down when the fan cuts in but i would prefer it to not get so hot. So ill have a look for 85 Honda Accord temperature sensor then.Moise wrote: Wed Apr 24, 2019 10:20 amI don't know part numbers, but I bought one for an '85 Accord and it's been fine.pompousporcupine wrote:Holy Thread Revival!

You will need to do some trimming to get the standard plug to fit. Otherwise it's a straight swap.polar wrote:I might get one tbh they mine does get hot - never overflows or refuses to cool down when the fan cuts in but i would prefer it to not get so hot. You couldn't have a look on ebay for me could you and identify which one it is as ive had a look and there are different ones coming up for a 85 accord?Moise wrote: Wed Apr 24, 2019 8:21 pmYou will need to do some trimming to get the standard plug to fit. The only downside is the fan does run more often, so you're more likely to get hot air blown on you in slow traffic. But I did not enjoy sitting at the lights watching the temperature going up and up, waiting for the fan to come on.
This is the one I bought: https://tridon.co.nz/products/Tridon/35 ... 292/TFS123polar wrote:You couldn't have a look on ebay for me could you and identify which one it is as ive had a look and there are different ones coming up for a 85 accord?Moise wrote: Wed Apr 24, 2019 8:21 pmYou will need to do some trimming to get the standard plug to fit. It's rebranded but I can't remember who the manufacturer is.
Try jompys second link they do look to be the same?
I experienced so much of that in the Island last year, as soon as I got back I replaced mine with an OEM part from Fowler’s and now all is good.Moise wrote: Wed Apr 24, 2019 8:21 pmYou will need to do some trimming to get the standard plug to fit.
