Hi Mike, and thank you for posting a newbie post    , must admit I love South Wales, it's a beautiful part of the country. As Jompy says, there is a wealth of knowledge on R1's on her and on bikes in general, so any questions just ask.

Welcome

Welcome to the forum Mike. 17 years is a long time to keep a bike, well done.

hi thanks for the welcome, i'm from a place called Pontypridd just outside Cardiff, I've owned loads of bikes in the past 30 years but when the r1 and the 916 came out I could only afford 1 so I went for the duke but I saved for this yam so I'm happy now. the roads are amazing over here especially Brecon to Llandovery, Builth wells cant wait for the summer
