Hya Chaps

Post by Mickyl »

Just thought I'd say Hi ;)

Recently bought a 5EB R6 with cracked engine liners. My bike previous to that was a 2005 R1 and previous to that was another 5EB R6, also owned:FZR600 Genesis, TZR250 and 125 amongst others.

Signed up here looking for some answers to my 5EB/5SL engine conversion. Whilst it's up and running, the engine seems a little snatchy at low revs and the handling seems vague mid corner. I'm wondering if the rear engine mount that doesn't line up quite right is contributing to this.

Anyway, I'll have a look around and see what I can find. Hopefully I can help some of you guys along the way too with my years of experience of messing about with bikes :D

Yes I did miss it but strangely not my 2005 R1. I found that boring on the roads unless it was doing silly speeds. I think the R6 is the right combination of speed/power/handling for the roads. You can still have fun on it without fear of being locked up.
