R1 1999 v 2003 swing arm. Same?

Post by Oldskooltattoosuk »

Hi all.
i own a 1999 R1 and am trying to find some nice fancy drive chain adjusters.
The ones I would like only start at 2003 models.
Does anyone know if the swing arms are the same and if these will fit my 1999.
They look very similar?

Many thanks in advance.

There's a few people in Pompey and around that area i believe , Pete Passion , Horus and samr1 !
As for posting pics
"get yourself a free photobucket account & follow the idiots guide to posting pics from your pc

if you don't want to open a photobucket account then an alternative is go to
http://tinypic.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

1 - "choose file" and browse to the image you wish to upload from your PC
2 - In the "resize" drop down choose either 15" or 17" screen (15 is enough and fast too)
3 - Press "upload now" where it will ask you to type in a couple of words to confirm you are a human being and not an automated program.
4 - Once done copy the text from the "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" field
5 - Then just paste it exactly as is in to your message.

or you can post direct from your not so smart phone using tapawank (tapatalk) it's great for posting pic's & notifications but wank for viewing the forum ;)"

Ah right. Can't check Jompys spelling on the phone [emoji23]We are rare. I blame the Barry's.

Weekend breakfasts at Loomies for that reason for a few of us. Whiteways I'll check out one day. Its on the radar.

Yes they arrived and they do not fit.. I took a chance but your right the inside measurement of the swing arm where the standard chain adjusters go is more narrow then on a 2003 model.. Never mind, they can go back up for grabs.. Thanks anyway mate
