Welcome in Tony
So come on then fees up ! What R1 do you ride
How about you give us a bit about yourself and your biking history so we can get to know you
Now get those questions posted and I'll see if I can find someone that actually know what the f**k they're talking about

Re: newbie
Wow ok bit about my bike history lol
Always been a lover of 125's. Mainly as they are fun to chuck around. Spent about 15 years mixing different bikes until i landed on my r1. Its black. 2007.
Im more just a bike rider then have any knowledge on them at all.
Never drove a car as think spawn of satan.
Ride anytime in the year even if snow.
Bad news is had a newbie moment couple of weeks ago. Early hours of the morning and stopped as car in front stopped. It turned off and off i went not realising i was on a drain and was icey....
Next moment i woke up with my gear being cut off lol
sadly left side is no longer spotless at all so after getting quotes of £350 per panel i was hoping here would be good place for advice on a cheaper way to replace left side.
It adds up beyond reach based on their quotes lol
photo wise ill tale some when i can only photos i have atm are of the scrapes which breaks my heart haha
hopefully enough of a starting paragraph lol

We have all been there, as said ebay is your best place just replace the panels as they come up. Hope you are okay?

Re: newbie

It would be rea-eally helpful if we knew what your bike looked like...

...then we'd know what colour fairings you need

Have look on here... https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from ... 5573.m1684" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There's no such thing as a "normal" biker.

Re: newbie
Based on pricing i may just go for a complete fairing. Fresh start and all that lol.
what experiences do people have with Auctmart.com?
Or is there a better place people have had good experiences with?
Asking before i commit to a place but so far auctmart have caught my eye the most
and im fine now. I came off worse then the bike but i can heal. My bike cannot lol

Re: newbie
............. or use the Chinese fairings until you get original panels for a decent price.
As others have said if you want to sell the bike Chinese fairings won't help, but could be a good stop gap.

Re: newbie
I do plan to keep the original fairing all wrapped up nice for the future.
Had considered selling the originals to cover all the costs but changed my mind.
but just need to find best place for an aftermarket job.
As said Auctmart seem good based on reviews but hearing from peoples experience with them will be the decider

See I was going to say Chinese fairings until I realised it was a 4c8 and the panels aren't as rare as the older R1's but for the price think the Chinese are a good idea .
There's a few people that had good experiences with Chinese fairings , off the top of my head booster was one and MarkYPVS is the other . both have threads in the projects section , marks was called triggers broom
