Ignition delete

I have a 1999 R1 that I am looking to only use for track days, the ignition barrel does not work properly, so was looking to remove it and just use the kill switch for starting, does anyone know what wires need connecting to Aire to do this

It can be done but probably not a good idea as the electrics would be live all of the time. The other option would be to replace it with a master switch, but that would need some work to make up a mount, plus rewiring.

Not sure if you can still buy new Made in China barrels on eBay?

We do a master switch for the newer R1's which has two wires, positive and negative that allow you to remove the barrel and replace with the switch.

Not sure what the wiring is on the 4XV and how easy it would be to wire one in as the plug-and-play of these will definitely be different.
