As with your exup post I know that the pic is while you are working on it so not complete.
I assume that the u shape tang on the top pulley is directly over the hole at around 10 oclock while at rest?
Just another thing to check.

Thanks Steve, someone once said to me "when you walk away from your bike, if you don't look back at it, you've brought the wrong bike" and I always check her out

Yes Chap sure did. She was a great bike. Just had enough of messing with carbs now! although in fairness she never gave me much bother.
