Hello

Post by Nidge »

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie to this forum and not yet an R1 owner. I have been looking at/lusting after a 2010 cross plane model at a local dealers, 13,500 miles Akra cans fsh in vgc for £7,499.
Any advice from current or past owners on what to look out for, problems or issues with this model would be much appreciated .

Many thanks

Welcome in Nigel
I think Hash & SteveR1 were saying in another thread to take a few for a test ride as there can be some difference from bike to bike , they can also be like marmite you either love the riding style or hate it . If it's standard a flash tune can make a big difference & smooth out things like pulling off

Welcome in mate. Great bikes and with the Akras they sound amazing. Have a look in the 14B section, lots of useful info on what to look out for.

Welcome to the forum. Hope you find the right bike at the right price. Post some pics when you get one. This forum is good for advice and help as well as some good natured banter.

Hi Nigel,

Welcome to the forum, as Jompy says, the Big Bang R1's yiu will either love or hate, so my advice would be to take a few out fjr a test ride, I'm on my third, so I guess I'm in the love em camp.

Anyway good luck with your search

Morning Nigel,
Unlike Jompy, I've never done any 'pulling off' on my bike...too messy.
Enjoy the emporium of all things shiny and metal...and with an R in it.
