Hello Everyone

Hello, Im Paul, live near Worksop, Notts. Been a lurker on here for a while but I've finally pulled my finger out and started sorting my 4xv.
Came off on a trackday at cadwell (that was on my birthday!) several years ago, after stripping the bike down and threatening to sell the bits I've decided to sort it.
Bought another frame and some new wheels so i can get started. The bike, well, boxes of parts! have been moved around loads and as a result I've got bits missing. Also made a bad job of stripping it (didn't label/bag enough stuff) which will make the job harder!
So... the plan is to rebuild the bike, find out where everything goes

buy any new parts then partially strip and do any restoration that is needed. Dooubt it will ever be as nice as it was but if i can get it back to being a clean useable bike again i will be happy.
please help with all the daft questions il be asking in the future
regards, Paul

Welcome in Paul
I guess a good idea if you haven't already is to download the parts micro riche , you could put your build in the projects section

Is there a link for the download somewhere on the forum? that would be really handy. Thinking of doing a build thread, i find reading other peoples really useful

Welcome to the forum Paul, I'm sorry to hear of your off, bikes can be repaired, us humans are a tad more difficult. Hope you were ok. If it's any consolation I binned my bike on my first track day, so you are not on your own there. Yiu have come to the right place to ask questions as there are loads of knowledgeable peeps on here, unfortunately I'm the exception, but as they say there is one born every minute and that's me .
You will need a sense of humour as there is a lot of good humoured banter on here.
Good luck with the rebuild, I take my hat off to yiu as I would not be able to even contemplate doing that, iys way way beyond my skill level, and I know I would have some bugs left over at the end......
Anyway welcome to the firum and enjoy

Cheers Gary. Progress will be massively slow but it will hopefully get done. No physical injuries whatsoever.
Thanks for that Stephen, nice to know I'm not the only one throwing it up the road on my first go! I wasn't even going fast

Unfortunately I was still it's a learning curve and as long as we learn from our mistakes that's fine. The person who has never made a mistake has never done anything. I must do a lot cos I'm always making mistakes
